Khushu App ("we", "our", "us") operates the Khushu mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

01. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• First name and gender — Stored locally on your device to personalize the experience. This data is not sent to our servers.
• Prayer settings — Calculation method, Asr preference, notification preferences
• App selection — Apps you choose to block during prayer times
• Quran progress — Verses read and memorized, reading position
• Unlock mode — Simple or Quran reading mode preference

Information Collected Automatically

• Location data — Your device's GPS coordinates are used to calculate accurate prayer times for your city. Location is processed locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.
• Prayer confirmations — Records of confirmed prayers for streak tracking
• Subscription status — Whether you have an active premium subscription
• Attribution data — If you consent via the iOS tracking prompt (ATT), an anonymous identifier (IDFA) is collected by AppsFlyer to measure which channels bring users to the App. No personal information is linked to this identifier.

02. How We Use Your Information

All information is used solely to provide the App's core functionality:

• Calculate prayer times based on your location
• Block selected apps during prayer hours
• Track your Quran reading and memorization progress
• Maintain your prayer streaks
• Deliver prayer time notifications
• Manage your premium subscription
• Improve user experience through anonymous analytics (usage patterns, most used features)

03. Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using MMKV (a high-performance key-value storage). We do not operate servers or databases. Your data never leaves your device except as described in Section 4.

When you delete the App, all local data is permanently removed.

05. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your email or any personal identifier
• We do not require account creation
• We do not serve advertisements
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not track your activity across other apps or websites

Attribution analytics (AppsFlyer) only measures how you discovered the App, not what you do inside it. This data is anonymous and requires your explicit consent via the iOS tracking prompt.

06. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App does not collect personal information and does not require account creation, no identifiable data from any user is stored on our systems.

07. Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Since we do not transmit or store your data on external servers, the security of your information relies on your device's built-in protections (passcode, Face ID, etc.).

08. Your Rights

Most of your data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App.

For data transmitted to our analytics services (PostHog, AppsFlyer), you can request its deletion by contacting us at the address below. We will process your request within 30 days, in compliance with GDPR.

09. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
