Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Khushu mobile application ("the App") operated by Khushu App ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

01. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

02. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App
• Attempt to circumvent the App's screen-time blocking or subscription features
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

03. App Features

Khushu provides the following features:

• Prayer times — Calculated locally using your device's GPS location
• App blocking — Selected apps are blocked during prayer times using Apple's Screen Time API
• Shield overlay — A custom screen appears over blocked apps with a Quran verse and a notification button
• Quran reading — 6,236 verses in Arabic (Uthmanic script) with French translation, and audio recitation
• Memorization — Customizable verse intervals with loop and tracking features
• Streaks — Tracking consecutive days of confirmed prayers
• Notifications — Reminders at each prayer time
• iOS Widget — Displays a Quran verse on your home or lock screen

04. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium features are available through subscription plans managed via the Apple App Store. All payments, refunds, and billing inquiries are handled by Apple under their terms and policies.

Subscription details (pricing, duration, renewal) are displayed in the App before purchase.

05. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of prayer times (which depend on your location and selected calculation method)
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App
• That notifications will always be delivered on time (depends on device settings and iOS behavior)
• That app blocking will function in all circumstances (depends on Apple's Screen Time API)

06. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Khushu App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Inaccurate prayer time calculations
• Missed prayers or notifications
• App blocking failures
• Loss of local data

07. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding of the App are the exclusive property of Khushu App. The Quran text is in the public domain. Audio recitations are provided by third-party sources (Islamic Network CDN).

08. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining a compatible iOS device
• Granting necessary permissions (location, notifications, Screen Time, and optionally tracking consent)
• Providing accurate location access for prayer time calculations
• Using the App in compliance with applicable laws

09. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside.
